Pre-Requisite of this article is you need to have Business Central Account .
First , you need to register an APP in Azure Portal so that it can be integrated with Microsoft Identity Platform. Once you logged in to Azure Portal go to App registrations and choose Register an application :
Give a name for the APP and the Redirect URL , for my case the name is D635BC_Connect_App and Redirect URL is https://businesscentral.dynamics.com/
Go to View APP Permission and add permission :
Choose Business Central and select Delegated permissions and make sure user_impersonation is checked.
It will appear like below when it has been added :
Next, go to Certificates & secrets and then add new client secret . Put some description and select expiration time.
Once it has been added, make sure to copy the value and store it somewhere.
After this , then we go to postman app.
Select Authentication as OAUTH 2.0 and select Get New Access Token.
Auth URL is : https://login.windows.net//oauth2/authorize?resource=https://api.businesscentral.dynamics.com
Access Token URL is : https://login.windows.net//oauth2/token?resource=https://api.businesscentral.dynamics.com
Client ID is your Application (Client) ID that you created in first step.
Client Secret is the secret that you created before on your app
Once done, click Request Token and you will be prompted to login and give permission on your APP :
Click Accept and it will open token window , scroll down and choose use token . Token will added to your request and try to click Send button to get the response.
